Tori's Story

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL WHO WILL ADOPT
OLDER ADULT DOGGIES LIKE BENTLEY, TORI & LEO!!
You deserve angel status upon this earth for being willing to give
these dogs a loving home in their older years. THANK YOU!!

IN MEMORY OF "LEO" - sweet - sweet- sweet!!
Former Bichon Rescue Tennessee darling who died on May 22
Thank you to Carol & German for loving Leo into his twilight years!

We'll let these photos tell you of what we do .......

Each of these dogs has come to us in need of help.
We've embraced them & provided whatever vet care they've required.

The average weight of a bichon today is about 15 lbs ... but can range from 6 to 30 lbs

We always have a wait list of Bichons who need
to come into rescue for nurturing.

The Bichon Frise is a great dog in the right environment
... and a sad and troubled dog in the wrong environment.

Nurtured into confidence ...

Some dogs come to us neglected and ill at ease,
our job is to repair that pain and bring them into happiness again.

Yes, sometimes other breeds need help too .....
and we oblige lovingly  ...

Friendships are made .. and confidence is built

From matted and nasty ... to majestic beauties !

100 Ways to Help Rescue efforts

Grooming requires much time and attention, but serves to nurture too.

From the smiling fluffs like little Alex (above) who knows a bunch of tricks

To the older gentlemen (above) who serve as model citizens
for the younger generation of bichons!

Bichon Rescue volunteers keep rescues in our homes .. with our families ....
so we can do temperament assessments in real life situations ...

All dogs are fully vetted prior to being adopted
(thus the tremendous expenses that we incur)

Sometimes comedians by nature ..

Intake Dec 13,'02 - hip joint ripped out - excruciating pain

In rehab - post surgery - a happy boy looking forward to good life.
Jan 20, 2003

and other times majestic and a little aloof until you earn their trust ...

Sometimes just puppies ..... who are no longer wanted.
