   Little 10 lb Maximillion will be having an eye removed on Thursday morning.  Please hold his special little self in your thoughts and prayers.  This is not an easy surgery and he'll need total quiet for a couple weeks.
   
   Maxie was unceremoniously dumped at a shelter this weekend because no one wanted him with his atrophied eyeball.  We received the call about this SUPER SWEET little guy ...and quickly arranged for Maxie to have the medical care he needs to live out a full and happy life..     
   
    Thanks millions to all of you for supporting our fall fundraiser auction (2003 effort) and special sales so that we can help dogs like little Maxie.
    
    And special thanks to Ed & Monica of No. Georgia who will be providing loving foster care for Maxie during his time of healing and adjustment to having just one eye.
