I wish someone would tell me What it is that I've done wrong. Why do I have to stay chained up And left alone so long? They seemed so glad to have

SUMMER IS VACATION TIME |
|
1. Practice traveling with your pet by first taking short trips. |
|
2.
If you plan to leave your dog in a motel room for anything more than a few
seconds, |
|
3. Plan ahead so you will be insured of pet
friendly hotels. |
|
4. Ask in advance for a motel room on the first floor with outdoor access for those quick pee/poo runs.
5. Advise motel maid service that there is a dog in your room so no one will open the door and inadvertantly allow the dog to escape this strange environment.
6. Bring along water from home if possible to avoid dehydration if your dog is fussy about strange tasting water.
7. Don't forget your dogs own food, medications, chewies, toys, extra collar and leash, and familiar bed or blankie.
8. Prepare for the worst to reduce chances of stressful events while on vacation.
9. ALWAYS keep your dog on a leash. Bunnies, squirrels and birds have been the reason for many a death to otherwise well-mannered dogs.
10. If planning to fly with your dog, get the scoop here: FLYING WITH YOUR DOG
